September 1
Arrived at the dock and noticed that there was a stiff wind and wave out of the north east. We headed out and made a couple of passes in front of the wall just to see if any fish had moved into the mouth of the river. The water was crystal clear and no fish were around.
We trolled out to the 100’ area and trolled east then continued north. We found our first fish—a nice salmon 65’ down over 120’. We worked the area trolling north and south. The hot lure for the day was a NBK on the 300’ copper.
Toward the end of the day we added a few fish with the Moonshine super seedless down 40’. The girls had fun landing most of the fish while their hubbies cheered them on!!
