August 19

Sunday Afternoon, sunny, cool, NE wind, 2’ waves

Headed out on a Salmon Hunt with “The Outdoor Guys” www.theoutdoorguys.net from WHAM 1180AM.  We set lines in 65 fow hoping for a big salmon, worked our way east an then north toward the 26N line.

On the north troll the first rod to go was the port dipsy with a WMD out 190’, after a short battle the  Sharp hook straitened.  Shortly after we reset the line the dipsy on the other side with the silver echip/Hammer fly picked up a two year old king.  A nice fish, but not what we were looking for.  The next hit was on that same rig out 200’ and we missed it.  The same rod would prove to be the money maker for the night taking consecutive salmon over 25 pounds.

We ended the day with a couple of biggest fish ever for our guests and a great time had by all.
