Sunny, warm, west wind with waves building to 1’-3’

Today I had the privilege of taking local Taxidermist Bill Yox and his family.  Bill also hosts the local sportsman’s radio show “The Outdoor Guys

We trolled the 50’-60’ level in search of a lunker Brown Trout.  Our first fish hit a MOONSHINE TNT just off the bottom and Sterling did a fine job of bringing it to the net.  A little while later we doubled up on a pair of heavy fish that ended up winning the battles and although disappointment and heartbreak followed missing these two good fish, Bill and I quickly recovered.

The kids just kept fishing, Landon cleaned the boat and eventually Violet and Emil boated a couple of nice browns for the smoker.

The fish of the day was Sterling’s Steelhead that fought hard and provided us with several nice jumps before we netted and released it.
