Thursday, FOG, little wind

Today was the first day of a two day trip by a bunch of guys from Ohio.  Salmo Charters organized 6 boats to accommodate the group of guys for both days and great fishing followed.

The lake upwelled and the water temperature close to shore was very cold (41 degrees) and a thick fog bank was looming over the cold water out to about 9 miles offshore.  We headed through the fog out to warm water (60 degrees) where the fog dissipated.  All six boats quickly found fish and began to box our share of trout and salmon.

The fish were hitting almost any lure in the top 45’, sliders were hot as were dipsys out 70’ - 100’.
