Saturday— North/north west wind 5-10 mph 2’ King chop

We began the day in front of the port in 100 fow trolling east.  We hit a mature king on the set up and Dave quickly landed the fish and 3 other lines involved in a crossover.  By the time we got the lines reset it was 6:30.  We then missed a fish on the 400’ copper, the 65’ rigger and the 220’ dipsy.  While it sounds like a lot of action  it was already 8 am and we felt like we should make a move offshore.

After a quick talk with a captain offshore we headed for the 26.5 line.  We set the lines in and began a north troll.  Finally a coho hit on the 150’ dipsy with the WMD/moonshine spin fly.  We began a circle and the port outrigger snapped and the reel began to scream.  The 39” 25 pound king grabbed the Moonshine mirage fly behind a white e-chip on the 300’ copper.  This rod proved to be the hot ticket for the day taking three more kings including a 27 pound 40” monster.  We kept on circling the area and each time we trolled north over the waypoint another king would hit.

We also managed to pick up a couple of steelheads on the dipsys and riggers.
