August 12 pm
Began our evening trip fishing the inside water for Brown Trout and Salmon. Picked away at the fish catching a couple of keepers and a few throw backs. Steady fishing, the fish of the night hit the center rigger and screamed off line — a dandy 14 pound Lake Trout — the only Laker we caught in the month of August!!
August 13
We began setting lines in 200 fow in front of Johnson’s Creek. The temp was deep for the day, down around 90’ so we rigged deep dipsys and the 600’ copper. The Copper would prove to be the “HOT ROD” for the morning with the steelhead just loving the MOONSHINE blue smoothie fly behind the white E-Chip. The fishing was good all morning and the icing on the cake was a BIG Mature King Salmon that slammed the WMD dipsy just as we were getting ready to clean the limit of fish for the day!!!
